Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Triumphant Tuesday!
Today was another success, with our campers continuing to achieve personal victories and triumphs by pushing themselves to reach their potential! The murky weather of last week has well and truly disappeared, leaving blue skies and gorgeous views in its wake.
Today our brave Greenies packed their backpacks and set off on their mountain hut adventure! They are sure to see some beautiful sights and make some wonderful memories on their expedition.
Our ever-energetic Yellow adventurers returned from their hut hike and were reunited with the Yellows who stayed at camp. After a well-deserved lunch of tacos, they had a sporty afternoon playing tennis, mini golf, bouldering, and relaxing in art. The Yellows played a classic Village Camps game- “Zing Tong”- in the evening- where they had to rescue a princess from the maniacal Zing Tong King by collecting gold. However, things weren’t quite that straightforward, with our Yellow knights-in-shining-armour getting ambushed by the wacky Zing Tongs! It was a ridiculous amount of fun!
Some of our Reds went rock climbing this morning. They all had a shot at scaling the quarry climbing routes and made themselves proud. Quite a few made it to the top of their respective routes, and more importantly, everyone tried their best! Continuing in the spirit of adrenaline and adventure, the Reds also went mountain biking and bobsledding, as well as going to the gym and trying archery! They ended their day with a thrilling murder mystery to solve!
The Blues started their day learning how to build shelters in the wilderness with our adventure leader Joe. Afterwards, they cooled off from the heat with their “Cool Blue” event. The warm sun was ideal for the Blues as they got to paddle board on the refreshing lake in Villeneuve! They ended their escapades with a cookout BBQ, having a few moments of respite to reflect on their day.
Our campers have all gotten stuck into camp life and are truly making the most of being in the spectacular Swiss Alps!

- Lunch: Salad Buffet, Chili Con Carne (With Veg Alternative), Taco Shells, Tex Mex. Condiments, Pasta Station, Fresh Fruit.
- Dinner: Salad Buffet, Samosas, Rice Biryani, Pasta Station, Apple Tart.
