Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
TACO TUESDAY!
The striking, vivid stormy weather of the past few days finally started to clear up today, as our campers readied themselves for another action-packed day in the Swiss Alps!
Today kicked off with football campers being put through the wringer by our football counsellors! Tennis Camp was in full swing, and STEM and language classes continued to be both educational and fun!
The Greenies left on their mountain hut hike, with bags packed to the brim and smiles on their faces, full of enthusiasm ready for an adventures hike. While, English Class prepped for a movie sequel dressed up in funky costumes.
Blues spent their morning on a scavenger hunt that took them all over Leysin! After lunch they had a refreshing day in Villeneuve, enjoying the calming blue ambience. They spent the day paddle boarding on the serene lake, relishing the natural beauty around them. As night fell, they gathered for a relaxed BBQ, capping off the day with good food and great company.
The Reds had an absolute blast today, starting their morning off strongly as they pushed themselves and showed their bravery off in rock climbing! They then let loose singing Karaoke and dancing with Just Dance, while other campers hyped themselves up for Gym, Archery, Street Basketball and Bobsled! It started to pour rain very quickly, so all campers ran inside to take shelter and improvised by playing basketball and badminton inside the indoor gym and some tackled ping pong. They ended their day with the fiercely fun World Cup Activity!
Yellows returned from their overnight hike while our brave Greenies prepared themselves to embark on theirs! These hikes are always an incredible way to take in the scope of the camp's alpine surroundings and truly connect to nature!
For lunch, we had everyone's favourite taco Tuesday feast, which put all the campers in a great mood for their following activities!
The Yellows went on to try their hand at a selection of entertaining activities such as Tennis, Pool, Mini Golf, Art and Bouldering! When the evening fell, the yellows took themselves down to the auditorium for some fun activities, laughing and socializing amongst each other. they played Human Mummy, Guess the Baby Counsellor, Hula Hoop Hop, M&M Relay with a spoon and Balloon pop. Excitement was all around for every single yellow and they had a very eventful evening.
All in all, today was another raging success! We can't wait to continue sharing more of our campers' adventures with you tomorrow!
