Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Hikes, Bikes & Football Frenzy!
Today was another awesome day kicking off the second week of camp here at VC Leysin!
This morning our Greens, Blue's and Yellow Adventure groups were all making their final preparations before heading off on their overnight mountain hut adventures. Today the Yellow Adventure group would be making their way to the summit of Pic Chaussy, reaching an impressive 2,351m where they would stop to take in the views and return to their mountain retreat for a delicious BBQ and a night in the stunning swiss backcounty.
A little further off the beaten track the Blues would also be reaching new heights as they hiked to the Chalet Lacombe, an absolutely beautiful alpine chalet in Pierre du Möellé, after a challenging day hike they would settle in for the night with incredible views of the valley below.
Back in Leysin the remaining Yellows took to the local forests to learn valuable survival skills like shelter building and campfire crafting while the Reds took an adrenaline filled tour of Leysin with a morning of mountain Biking while others strapped on their harnasses and braved climbing in the quarry.
In the afternoon the Yellows took part in the "Amazing race" where after splitting up into teams they tracked down and took on challenging tasks to see which team might win the prize while the Reds had an afternoon packed with activities like Tennis, Mini Golf, Improv Drama, Dance & Bouldering.
In the evening as the Blues, Greens & Reds were roasting marshmallows by the campfire the competitive fun continued at camp as the Yellows enjoyed a friendly game of dodgeball, Elsewhere Football Fever had taken over the Reds as they split into teams to compete against each other to see who would be this sessions .

- Lunch: Cannoloni, Pasta, Marinara Sauce, Seafood Sauce, Huge Salad Bar, Fruit
- Dinner: Beef Stew, Carrots, Couscous, Pasta, Marinara Sauce, Salad Bar, Fruit, Cupcakes
