Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Terrific Tuesday in the Alps!
It's a beautiful day here in Leysin and our campers were awake bright and early excited to start their second day of activities. This morning campers joined their activity groups and shot off in all directions to a huge selection of activities, Our Blue adventure group jumped into their harnasses and checked their figure eight knots as they took on climbing in the Quarry while the Red Adventure group were hard at work in the forest learning all kinds of useful survival skills as they constructed shelters and started their own camp fires. The Greenies enjoyed a morning of bouldering and cooled down after with swimming games at the sports center.
In the afternoon the Yellows headed off to the Mont Blanc pitch to cool off with all kinds of crazy water based games including waterballoon battleships and even a slip'n'slide. Blue adventure had an adrenaline packed afternoon as they stormed down the swiss mountains with our Mountain Bike specialist Mike while the Greens had their own wet'n'wild time in the Big Green activity!
In the evening, the Greens popped on their hiking shoes and took a stroll to a stunning lookout where they enjoyed their first Camp Fire of the summer, after some funand games they settled in to enjoy some delicious Banana Boats and roasted Marshmallows. The Reds headed to the local sports hall for a friendly game of Dodgeball while the Yellows got their skates on and spent their evening gliding around the local Ice Rink. Back at camp the Blues strapped on their thinking caps in a game of "Are You Smarter Than Your Counsellor".
