Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
First day of activities!
The first day of camp is finally here, the sun is shining and everyone at VC Leysin are feeling fresh and well rested after their long journey to camp yesterday.
In the morning the Greenies met with Zoe and friends to take a tour of beautiful Leysin and then headed on an Animal Safari. The Reds and Blues spent their morning getting to know each other with some awesome Team Building games while the Yellows tested their survival skills in the forest with a game of "Lost in the Suchet".
Afterwards the Greenies took to the ice and showed off their ice skating skills and tried their hand at Archery with our fantastic Archery specialist Naceur! The Reds tested their fitness with a run through the suchet, taking on it's obstacle course along the way. The Yellows were treated to a tour of the town and a fun afternoon bouldering and playing tennis while the blues had fun in the sun on a slip and slide baseball game in the ultimate Big Blue Activity.
In the evening it was time for our brave Greenies and Yellows to save our camp in my favorite game "Terminator", it's up to the campers to shut down all the robots before everyone is captured! The Reds spent the afternoon learning to become professional "Golfball" players while the Blues were dodging and weaving in the gym during a friendly game of Dodgeball!
It was a fantastic first day at camp filled with sun, fun and plenty of smiles!
- Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, cereals, juices, fresh fruit, toast
- Lunch: Spagetti bolognes, spring rolls. soup, salad bar, fruit salad, lemon tart
- Dinner: Beef ragu and tofu tomato sauce for vegetarians, polenta, pasta, sauted carrots, coconut chocolate cake, salad bar, fruit
