Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Wet Wednesday!
Come rain or shine it's another great day to be at camp, The clouds rolled into Leysin to help keep our beautiful mountains green and the rivers flowing and campers were not about to let a little wet weather stop them from having some fun! In the morning the Greenies packed their bags, made their sandwiches and headed off for an overnight adventure to a beautiful mountain hut while back at camp Film Academy started the finishing touches to their movies in preparation for the big unveiling. The Yellows took some time to test their photography and map reading skills with a photo scavenger hunt while the Reds grabbed their bike helmets and took to the hills for a little mountain biking! The Blues on the other hand fixed a rope to their harnesses and went for a fun rock climbing adventure!
Later on, all colour groups united to pass a fun afternoon in the woods, playing the 'United Nations' Russia and U.K competed the Arab Nations and the U.S.A. After a long and tough run Russians and English had every reason to celebrate and raise their flags proudly! Meanwhile, back in Camp, everyone is getting ready for the International Night! Greece, France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and the Arab Nations cooked traditional meals, rehearsed educational skits, traditional dances and created handmade accessories for tomorrow's performance!
The day came to an end with both entertaining games such as 'Dodgeball', but also with more relaxing activities such as a campfire on the mountain hut or a movie night in comfy sofas and fluffy pillows. It has been a long day, tomorrow we will start fresh and new for an other awesome morning !
