Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

26th June 2014

International Night

Today has been one of the most exciting days of the session!

It started with the Blue Adventure campers getting driven to a river for a morning of rafting. They had a great time paddling down the river, battling against the rapids and currents. The Red and Yellow Adventure campers took the mountain train down to Aigle where they had a short walk to the hight ropes course. The Campers put on their harnesses and protective gloves then climbed up into the trees to complete the obstacle course. The Language campers were preparing to graduate and the Film Academy campers were putting the finishing touches to their movies.

After a delicious lunch the International Afternoon could begin. The campers split in 6 groups then visited 6 different stations located around the building. There were two stations in the kitchen where the campers could create their own Italian pizza and make Russian pancakes. There was a French cafe that served croissants and ice tea, a station that taught the campers a dance, a station where the group could pick a song and create a lip dub video.

The evening meal tonight was very special, there was a variety of food from all over the world. From Russia to Algeria to the US to Spain then back to Switzerland. The evening was spent in the auditorium watching all the dances that had been learnt, and the music videos that had been created.
