Prom Night!
Tonight is the night that all the campers have been looking forward to. Once they have packed their bags and cleaned their rooms they will be presented with a Prom Night ticket, then the fun can begin!
This morning was dedicated to realising and appreciating the achievements of all our campers. The Language campers graduating from their classes and the Film Academy campers put the finish flourishes to the amazing movies. The Adventure kids were down in the forest, there was a slack line high up off the ground that spanned a river and a variety of obstacle courses for everyone to enjoy.
In the afternoon all the campers came together for one massive game of football/soccer down at the sports centre. It was a great chance for them to play one last game together before their departure the following day. If the campers didn't want to play football they could head up through the village of Leysin for a some well earned retail therapy. Back at camp all the kids had the chance to watch the movies made by the campers in the Film Academy. Then all back to their rooms to clean up, pack, shower and get ready for prom.
Prom night was everything that it promised to be. The campers all dressed up in their best attire, posed for their Prom Night photograph then took a seat at the Swiss style banquet table. The table was out on a large balcony overlooking the beautiful village of Leysin and the surrounding mountains.
Following dinner everyone gathered in the auditorium to receive awards for the cleanest campers and each colour group had their very own prom King and Queen. Campers were entertained with performances from the counsellors and the dance campers performed their routine they had worked on all session. Before the prom began all the staff and campers were thanked for their hard work all session. The whole evening was full of fun and celebration, ending the session with a great big bang.
