Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

7th August 2012

The Sunshine has Returned to Switzerland!

The sun has returned after all the rain, clear blue skies and lots of sun cream. The hot sunny weather was perfect for all the great activities we had planned.

The morning started as usual, the language lessons are in full swing, the Film Academy continued to work on their films and the dance campers have been fine-tuning their steps. The Yellow and Red adventure campers packed up their bags then hiked backed to the hotel from the mountain hut. The Blues were in the quarry climbing with Dewi, and the little Greenies had a go at archery and there appeared to be some budding Katniss Everdeens!

The afternoon had even more fun to offer our campers. The Yellows had great fun playing lots of different sports or creating art with our resident artist; Max. The Reds had a choice of many activities including archery, fitness, climbing, outdoor living skills and football. The Greenies started their hike to mountain hut where they will be spending the night. The Blues hopped on a bus and headed into the valley to try out paddle boarding and enjoy a BBQ by the lake.

After free time and the evening meal the activities continued, the Greens played games then settled into the mountain hut for the night. The Yellows had an evening activity in the forest, Survival is a game of cunning and skill the campers have to avoid being eaten while trying to find their own prey. The Reds played the new and improved Stock Market game, it was a great success and the campers had a brilliant night.
