Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

2nd August 2012

The Brilliant Weather Is Still Here!

The Greenies started their day with a hike up the mountain to a small fromagerie nestled in the Swiss hill side where they tried local cheese and ate ice cream. The Yellow adventures had a go at archery with our archery specialist Naceur who is back for his 32nd year with Village Camps. The Red Adventure campers had the chance to pedal a mountain bike through the beautiful Swiss countryside that surrounds Leysin. The Blue adventure campers hiked back to the hotel from their over night stay in the mountain hut.

After a well earned meal for everyone and the all camp meeting the fun activities could continue. The Greens started getting ready for their slumber party, the Reds had an afternoon of extreme challenges, the Yellows went ice skating and Blues had the usual choice of sports, fitness, outdoor living skills and arts for the afternoon.

In the evening he Greens got into their pajamas ready for their slumber party, they played games, ate treats and had a very special guest teddy bear make an appearance. The Yellows stayed in the building to play Eggstreme games, the counselors showed their skills in basketball, beatboxing, hula hooping and any other random talents they may have and the campers have to try and copy. The Reds were in the college gym hurling yellow foam balls at one another in an evening of dodgeball. The Blue campers met with our art specialist Max and were taught how to beatbox and make stencil graffiti.
