It's Another Beautiful Week in Switzerland
The amazing weather from the weekend has rolled on into the beginning of the week.
The Language campers were back in their classrooms after a well earned weekend break, the Dance campers had rejoined Kristyn in the dance studio and the Tennis campers were making the most of the great weather on the outdoor courts. The little Greenie campers went down to the gym to play dodgeball with their counselors and the Sports campers were at the sports centre playing basketball. The Adventure campers were divided by colour group this morning, the Blues had the chance to mountain bike through the beautiful countryside that surrounds Leysin, the Reds had a morning of climbing in the quarry and the Yellows set out a hike to the Mountain Hut where they will be spending the night.
After refueling at lunch the brilliant activities could continue. The Greens had an afternoon of on the ice, they ice skated then headed into town for some games. The Yellows all came together for a hike up the mountain to a small fromagerie nestled in the Swiss mountain side. The Reds and Blues had an eclectic mix of activities to choose from for the afternoon, there was climbing, kick boxing, archery, swimming, basketball and more.
The evening started with the Greens and Yellows playing Blue Meanies, it is a great game loved by staff and returning campers, the kids have to search the building for hidden counsellors then get a signature from then. Here is the twist, if the kids are found by one of the roaming Blue Meanies their list can be destroyed and they have to start all over again. The Reds jumped back on the bus and headed down to the sports centre to play football/soccer and beach volleyball. The Blues stayed in the building for a trivia night with an unexpected twist.
