Departure Day - Goodbye
Very quiet in the building right now - most of the departures have already left and those campers staying over for the next session are off on various activities. The cleaning staff and the counsellors will be working late to be sure that everything is ready for a new group of campers coming in tomorrow. Departure Day is sad with everyone leaving but it is followed by Arrival Day with lots of happy campers.
The first departures were actually yesterday and the rest started early this morning with trains to Aigle and coaches travelling to Geneva. The departures continued throughout most of the day with more trains, planes and auto mobiles.
Parents, we thank you for trusting your most precious possessions with us for these past two weeks. We hope that you have enjoyed our journals entries and all the pictures placed on-line over the past two weeks. Make sure that when your campers arrive home they have a chance to see them also. We also hope that next summer you will again consider Village Camps, Switzerland or one of our other camps across the world.
