Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

27th July 2010

The Rain Is Holding Off

While the campers had played some games to get to know each other, they have now achieved their daily camp rhythm. Breakfast at 8am, morning activities from 9 to 12am followed by lunch, afternoon activities from 1:30pm to 4:30pm, then a bit of free time, dinner at 6pm and finally evening activity...the children are now completely familiar with the daily schedule.

In the morning, the campers involved in the language classes continued their lessons where they had left off yesterday, while the tennis groups still enjoyed Leysin's sunny clay courts.

The little Greenies got a wonderful chance to get exercised through tennis and swimming in the morning. Then the shopping in the afternoon was a little bit less athletic, after dinner they got a bus down to the forest to enjoy a campfire.

Meanwhile, the sports campers got an exciting archery lesson this morning, whereas the most courageous warmed up in a fitness course. In the evening, the Reds enjoyed what their older fellows played yesterday, a wonderful game of dodgeball! Don't worry, the foam balls really cannot hurt! Meanwhile the Blues walked down to the forest to enjoy their meal cooked by their counsellors over an open fire.
