Summer Camp England
Exploring the Wonders of York!
Today was a fantastic day as we embarked on an exciting excursion to York! After breakfast, we set off with eager anticipation. Our adventure began with the Yellow group visiting the Jorvik Viking Centre. They immersed themselves in Viking history, learning about the fascinating lives of these ancient warriors. Meanwhile, the Red and Blue groups had a blast playing mini golf at "A Hole in Wand," enjoying some friendly competition. After our morning activities, we all gathered at the Shambles. This historic street was perfect for shopping and exploring, with its charming shops and winding, narrow pathways. Everyone enjoyed discovering unique souvenirs and treats to bring back to camp. Our final stop was the awe-inspiring York Minster. Together, we marveled at its stunning architecture and rich history, taking in the grandeur of this magnificent cathedral. Back at camp, we ended the day with a lively disco. Campers danced the night away and sang karaoke, celebrating the wonderful experiences of the day. What a memorable day in York! Can't wait for more adventures tomorrow!
