Summer Camp England
A weekend full of coaches and talent
After an amazing Big Night celebration, our campers enjoyed a weekend full of excursions and activities. Both Saturday and Sunday kicked off with a late wake-up and an energetic breakfast, but each day was completely different and amazing in its own way.
On Saturday, Yellows, Reds and Blues got on a coach straight after breakfast and went to the Manchester Trafford Center for a day of shopping, cinema and yummy food! They started their morning with some free time for shopping and eating their packed lunches. Later on, all campers went to watch The Lion King and enjoyed some sweets and popcorn. After some more shopping and dinner, it was time to return to the camp and get some rest. Everyone was really excited to show each other what they had bought at the shops !
On Sunday, all campers went to York early in the morning and the Yellows and Reds enjoyed a visit to The Chocolate Factory, where they could taste and learn a bit more about the story of chocolate and how it is made! The Blues played some games around the city of York. After lunch, they had some more shopping time and then it was time to go back to camp and get ready for Talent Night.
Talent Night is the perfect opportunity for campers and counsellors to work together and display their group or individual talents. Among our main acts, we had singing, dancing, piano, comedy... For the last act of the evening, the whole camp was directed by our talented counsellor Ruben, who made everyone sign together as a choir.
Tomorrow the second week of session 3 begins. We can't wait to tell you about all the amazing things we have planned for the next few days.
