Summer Camp England
Are you ready for the first big and funny day at Village Camps York?
Today is the first day at Village Camps York for our new campers !
They discovered their program during the morning with their counsellors. Creative Arts campers began to explore their creative skills with Marisa while Wallyce, Vicky and Effie went to the Theater with the growing stars of Performing Arts Program in order to start working on their final session.
Josef and Jose, our Football coaches assessed the level of campers' skills during the first games. Similar assessment took place for Golf, Horse-riding and English.
During the morning, Activity and Adventure program played ice breakers games inside then went outdoors to enjoy the funny game named War of Colours. Kids were having fun and then came to lunch with many colours on their face !!!
After lunch, campers went with their colour groups to do a camp tour. Then, we all joined to the Theater for our best all camp meeting of the day, the 3PM one. It was time to read the Secret Friends Messages which are designed as an opportunity for the campers to send each other anonymous messages saying things they like about each other, about their counsellors or about the camp. Then Hannah, the Program director explained to everyone the rules of the Camp.
After dinner, campers spent their evening night with their colour groups playing games and then had to go to sleep and get some well-deserved rest for the next exciting day coming up.
- Breakfast: Bacon sandwich, assorted cereals and homemade muesli, fresh fruit, natural yoghurt.
- Lunch: Meat sauce and pasta served with garlic bread ans parmesan. Salad Bar. Baked Pears with a Qaty topping, fresh fruit.
- Dinner: Rosemary & lemon oven baked chicken, butternut squash & sage risotto, steamed new potatoes, courgettes. Salad bar> Stewed mapple apples & sultanas.
