Summer Camp England

6th July 2012

A rainy day!

Our evening programmes last night were a great success, the yellows had a pool party and spent a couple of hours swimming and relaxing in the Jacuzzi! The reds had their general knowledge tested at their Quiz night, and the Blues got fiercely competitive during a tournament of extreme dodge ball! The morning programmes also went brilliantly in spite of the rain, which has been lashing down! Our wet weather back up plans proved successful and did not disturb the routines of any of the programmes! Football moved inside to the sports centre and was split into the younger and older campers, who were practicing their ball skills and later went on to play some matches. Activity and Adventure also moved inside, to the Phoenix centre, where they played some team-building games. After the games they had a quiz, and each point they earned through the quiz gave them virtual money they could then use to get equipment for the follow up activity, the egg toss! The English programme spent their morning in the kitchen, cooking and tasting traditional English foods, such as Eve???s pudding and Parkin cake. Tonight is the night we have long been preparing for, BIG NIGHT! All the teams are very excited and will be putting finishing touches to their performances this afternoon before the games begin at 7pm! Good luck everyone, may the best team win!
