Summer Camp England
Sunny Day
A glorious, sunny and warm day engulfed the campers at Village Camps York. The weather set the tone for a day of fun in the sun and loads of activities. The morning programmes of Football and Activity & Adventure were fortunate to spend the day outdoors. But, English did not want to miss out, so some of the classes were role-playing outside helping the students practice their English.
The afternoon was filled with activities, but the main one was the dividing of BIG DAY teams. The campers were explained what Big Day is and how they were going to create a song, cheer, and dance for their team by Friday. Campers of all houses intermingled in their groups and came up with brilliant ideas. Joe Foster led his RED Team to victory last session-wonder if he will continue this legacy? Or will someone else claim Session Two Big Day victory? It will be exciting to see the outcome on Friday.
The evening marked house activities with extreme silly dodgeball for the Blues. Reds had waterworks with a slip-n-slide and water bombs. The Yellows also got play with water in their pool party.
