Summer Camp England
Carnival!
The day was overcast, but it did not set the tone for the energetic campers ready for their activities. The golfers went to the Forest of Galtres Golf Club and the horse riders went to the Harrogate Riding Centre for their off-site sessions. The Activity & Adventure went canoeing despite the cloudy conditions. The LTC went to Camp Hill for Leadership Challenges and the other camps stayed on site.
The afternoon sessions offered the campers an array of activities such as cupcake decorating, extreme mini golf, drama, and sports. One session was the introduction of International Night and campers were divided into their countries. They began the art and theatrical performance planning for the big evening, just a week away.
In the evening, the rain held off and fun was had with the all camp Carnival. The Campers had the chance to have their fortune told, ride a mechanical bull, learn line dancing from Glenn, and play various other games. Tony the Tiger even made a guest appearance! The laughs filled the memorable evening.
