Summer Camp England
A break in the weather!
Wednesday at camp started with breakfast as usual followed by free time before meeting in the secret garden. The golfers and horse riders set off to the stables and golf course armed with water proofs- even the typical English weather could not dampen their spirits! Activity and adventure had a very exciting day ahead of them as they set off to go climbing, gorge walking and camping for the night. Creative Arts spent the day in York where they visited the Yorkshire sculpture Park. English also set off to York to visit the York Dungeons. This left camp very quiet for the morning! Only performing arts were left busily rehearsing for their performance on Friday.
Fortunately the weather brightened up by lunchtime, so performing arts enjoyed lunch at camp and the campers on excursions where able to enjoy the rest of the day without any rain!
All the campers had returned from their excursions by 4pm where they were able to relax with their friends and share their experiences of the excursions. Dinner was at the usual time of 5.45, which was much quieter than usual as activity and adventure were still out camping in the Yorkshire Dales! After dinner, the Yellows had a very relaxing evening where they watched a film in the common room before bedtime. Reds and Blues went head to head at quiz night where they were tested on a range of subjects including general knowledge, history and geography. After using all their brain power the Reds and Blues were ready for bed. Only 2 more days left at camp!
