The campers enjoyed some well deserved extra sleep this morning with wake up calls pushed back to nine o clock! However for some, the excitement for one of the most anticipated days at camp prevented them from sleeping anyway. Today was the day that campers would have the privilege of an excursion to Manchester.

After breakfast the campers were divided into their respective colours with each colour group participating in a different activity during the day. The yellow house enjoyed a thrilling visit to Legoland. Here they were taught how to make their own lego bricks, explored amazing lego worlds and creations and even enjoyed an amusement ride. After Legoland the yellow house had time to do one of their most loved activities, shop!

As for the red house, they set off on an adventurous journey to an indoor ski slope. Here they enjoyed tubing and sledding which was an interesting activity for those campers who had never seen snow before. After many hilarious tumbles they headed to the Trafford Centre where they also had some time to do shopping. Here they were accompanied by the blue house and for these girls, shopping was priority on the agenda! The blue group were then escorted to a bowling alley and afterwards to the cinema to see Shrek 4. The movie was a hit with all campers who found it completely hilarious.

Overall the day was a huge success and with shopping bags bursting out of the coach doors and smiles on each campers face we can know that the Manchester visit was definitely a popular treat for everyone at camp.
