Summer Camp Chiclana, Spain

DAY 12

Today is the last day, all the campers went to their different activities, enjoyed their last lessons, some were a bit exhausted, some were very excited but everyone was disappointed that their awesome summer camp was coming to an end.

Spanish camp went to Cadiz first thing in the morning to put to practice all of the material they have learned up till now. They were each given a question and the challenge to ask a local for an answer. After each person completed their task, the entire class went for a light snack at a typical Spanish restaurant and we ended the excursion with a trip to the ice cream shop! 

In the morning the adventure campers all competed in the annual VC challenge, which was comprised of a variety of games and competitions, including archery, raft paddling, blind rock climbing, geography challenges, and various others. The campers all had a blast and demonstrated mastery of numerous skills they learned during the camp. 

Later that evening, we surprised the kids with a live "Flamenco show". They were immersed in an hour-long trip into the history and tradition of flamenco dance and enjoyed an authentic and unique ambience created by four professional "bailaores".

The campers went to prom at "The Blue Monkey" disco in Complejo Campano, wearing their best outfits and, before we let the music play, we screened an unexpected film about these last 2 weeks. We shared lots of laughs and some tears in an unforgettable last night.

Tomorrow is departure day... 

The campers made so many friends. We will miss you and we hope to see you next year for more friendship and fun.

  • Breakfast: Cereals, choco cereals, muesli with fruits, muesli oatmeal) turkey ham, sausages orange juice, "pan con tomate", butter and jam, yogurt and fruit
  • Lunch: Rice, Pasta, Tomato sauce, Vegetables, Salad, Pork filet, Chicken breast, Fruit (water melon and apples) and Yoghurt
  • Dinner: Fish, green beans, broccoli, "Revuelto de huevos con patatas", coli-flower, mash potatoes, tomato sauce, pasta, artichokes, lettuce, tomato, pickles, carrots, beetroot, fruits and yoghurt
