Wednesday means Study then Play!

Today, Wednesday, July 8, 2015, was a class day. Classes are taught in the morning, from 9 am to 1pm. In the ESL and TOEFL classes, the learning goal was that students will able to practice how to recycle a prompt by using a strategy and many examples. When focusing on this learning goal, students learned the formal and academic way to respond to a writing prompt. After focusing on this specific goal, students later focused on important grammar components such as the past and present tense and regular and irregular verbs.

After lunch in the afternoon, students had the whole afternoon with activity leaders. They all participated in various team building game enabling them to build on listening and team related skills. In the late afternoon, after dinner, students then participated in fun-filled competitive games with staff such as counselor hunt and dodge ball.

  • Breakfast: Fresh bread, jam, Hash browns, assortment of wheat cereals, yoghurt, orange juice, fresh fruit
  • Lunch: Salad Bar, Fresh Fruit, Pasta salad, Chicken pot pie, Sandwich of the day, chips soda, fruit water
  • Dinner: Caesar salad, Fresh fruit, Turkey Bolognese, Veg of the day, garlic bread sticks, homemade cookies
