Indy Parc, River party, BBQ, and Canoe Commando!
Another awesome day here at Ardeche!
Today the River Adventure crew got up right on time, and after breakfast and making a packed lunch, they headed out the local ropes course, Indy Parc, where they tested their mettle on the swings, slides, ziplines, and rope-bridges. The french language students stayed at the campground for french lessons and games for the morning.
The crew returned at 1PM and everybody quickly hopped into swimsuits and cruised down to the river for our beach party! Speakers were brought out and the music cranked up, with a swmming zone established in the water, sunbathing stations created, and a whole repertoire of activities such as juggling, plate-spinning, and others. There was even a tye-dye station set up for the white VC shirts, and some boys challenged the staff to a football match and won! (5-3)
As the afternoon continued, Chef Doug brought down the BBQ grill to the lawn and started dinner preparations by getting the fire roaring! Soon everybody could all smell his delicious cajun chicken roasting on the grill and mouths were watering. At about 6.30 the games came to an end and everyone lined up hungrily. Dinner was had out on the lawn, picnic style on mats, including a giant vessel of fresh fruit punch.
After dinner the campers are staying on the field to play Canoe Commando, where canoes scattered about the field provided refuge from the watchful eyes of the counsellors at one end. Each time they turn around, campers scramble forward, until they can steal water noodles from an upturned canoe right under the counsellor's noses! Once taken, they need to run all the way back without being spotted.

- Breakfast: A selection of breakfast cereals with fruit, yoghurt and honey. Baguette with butter and jam. Orange and apple juice.
- Lunch: Wraps with a healthy selection of salads, hummus, cheese, salami, ham, eggs, avocados, sauces, pickles, and veges!
- Dinner: A BBQ selection of chicken, Cajun chicken, pork sausages, coleslaw, pasta salad with capsicum and basil, baguette, green salad, olives, and pickles
