Summer Camp Ardèche, France

18th July 2015

It's the weeeeeeekend!

Quote of the day: The river does not flow pass you, but through you; the sun does not shine on you, but in you.

We have had an exciting day today which started with a well-deserved lie-in followed by a scrumptious breakfast of scrambled eggs, beef sausages and fresh croissants. After a quick tent inspection all the campers grabbed their stuff and got ready to head onto the buses. The French programme campers headed off for the amazing Aven d'Orgnac where they learnt all about the discovery of the incredible cave, whilst the River programme campers headed for the exciting Indy Parc - the high ropes course nestled in amongst the trees featuring a zipline of 250m!

It's been an incredibly hot day so campers have been drinking plenty of water, wearing lots of suncream and resting in the shade. They are now all down on our lower meadow enjoying a fantastic beach party featuring fruit kebabs, frisbee, petanque, ping pong, dancing, swimming and cliff-jumping. The smell of the BBQ cooking up is tempting us all and we can't wait to dig in before playing some canoe commando this evening
