AM News:
Happy Bastille Day!
The sun has risen on another beautiful day here in the Ardeche. After a great night's sleep all our campers were excited to see what activities the day had in store for them. They were greeted by delicious fresh pain au chocolat hot out of the oven along with a selection of fresh fruit and cereals.
Campers were then instructed to clean their tents in time for tent inspection where the theme was Vive la Revolution! Our tent inspectors Maria and Annelise were treated to a variety of skits and songs as part of the inspection process. Campers were then informed about what they needed to get ready for the day's activities.
We have now waved off our River Yellows who have headed off with our good friends Danny and Panda to do some epic rock climbing for the day .
The River Reds are all set to head off on their adventurous day of canoeing on the majestic Ardeche river with Diana.
Our River Blue group waved a big bye-bye to me from the river as they paddled over to the other side of the river to start their cave exploration day with Iris and Madelene.
Our French Blue, Red and Yellow groups are all having some good ol' French fun with our wonderful French teachers involving lots of cameras and a photo challenge for them to complete.

The sun sets on another beautiful day in the Ardeche. We are all happy and tired from our day of activities in the intense heat that is being experienced across France. Luckily we are located just beside the refreshing Ardeche river where the campers have been taking frequent dips in between activities.
We had some campers off exploring caves today while others challenged themselves with some epic climbing or awesome canoeing on the river.
We all enjoyed a delicious dinner of sweet and sour cooked up with love by our fantastic chef Doug followed by everyone's favourite - ice-cream!
The campers are just now returning from their intense game of Mission Impossible where they battled it out against the counsellors and claimed victory in the end. They are now getting ready for bed before storytime with Dave. It's been a great day here and everyone is already excited at the thoughts of what's in store for them tomorrow!
- Breakfast: Delicious fresh pain au chocolat with a selection of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt accompanied by a choice of orange juice and apple juice
- Lunch: Packed picnic lunch and salad
- Dinner: Tonight we are starting with a combination of delicious chickpea and broccoli salads. For the main course we have a delectable sweet and sour pork with rice accompanied by a side of peas. For the vegetarians our Chef has prepared a sweet and sour vegetable sauce. Desert tonight is refreshing ice-cream to cool us all down. Yum yum!
