Summer Camp Ardèche, France
Tournament day!
The campers woke up to a sunny and hot Ardeche. After a delicious breakfast, we were all ready to go!
The River Goats headed off to the woods, where they had the opportunity to experience how to live with nature, in nature. They learned how to use tarps, set up tents and and other skills needed when camping or living outdoors. The River Rats, on the other hand, went rock climbing at La Fontgarnide, on the outskirts of Salavas; a challenging activity that requires effort and trust. The French Magpies continued improving their French skills: reading, writing, listening...
All campers enjoyed the afternoon participating in different choice activities: archery, baking, swimming and arts&crafts! They all had an amazing time while they learnt the basic skills of each activity.
After dinner, secret friends box was opened! Friendly notes to the campers were read out loud by two funny clowns. This was followed by tent inspection: today s theme was rock n roll! The campers spent the evening participating in the football and volleyball tournaments, where they learnt the importance of teamwork.
Tomorrow is a big day for all of us, as we will be spending the day in Montpellier!
