First day at camp!

First day! The campers ate a healthy breakfast and geared up for a day full of fun filled activities. They were assigned to different groups: River Goats, River Rats and French Magpies. Once lunch was all packed up, we were finally ready to set off and enjoy a sunny day in the beautiful Ardeche!

The Magpies had their first French lesson outdoors while the Goats and the Rats headed off for adventure! The activities for them today were rock climbing and exploring the caves of the Gorge. The Magpies spent the afternoon canoeing the magnificent Ardeche river while focusing on flat water skills, swimming and a whole lot of fun.

The campers spent the evening participating in various challenging team building games where they had to use communication, team work and a lot of hard work to find the best solution to several tricky brain teasers.

Right now the campers are gathered around, as it is story time. Today has been an amazing day where the campers got to know each other a lot better; we are already excited about tomorrow s adventures!

Phrase of the day: Today was good, today was fun; tomorrow is another one!

  • Breakfast: Fresh bread, jam, nutella, assortment of wheat cereals, yoghurt, orange juice, fresh fruit
  • Lunch: Packed picnic lunch
  • Dinner: Salad buffet, chicken legs with ratatouille and what; apricot tart!
