Summer Camp Ardèche, France

23rd July 2011

Saturday Ahoy!

Some of us woke up quite early for the start of our day canyoning with our canyoning guides, Brian and Willy - jumping, sliding, repelling, and swimming through high granite cliff faces of the Chassezac River gorge.

A handful of us went climbing with Julian and Liana on a Via Feratta mountain route, which means "road with irons" in Italian. Because they are equipped with fixed cables, stemples, and ladders, Vie Feratta routes are more accessible to a wider range of people in sometimes rather isolated areas.

The French Group went caving with Caveman, Lawrence and Francoise. And also got creative with dessert making and storytelling.
