Summer Camp Ardèche, France
Tuesday #2
This morning the French class went rock climbing with Caveman, Brian, Francoise and Melinda. We learned how to belay, climb with the strength of our legs and repel.
And it was the the River Experience Group's turn to tackle the Ropes Course with Richard, Jennie, and Willy. We really love zip lines!
All afternoon we had Choice Activities... we made decorations for the Talent Show and paper mache-d balloons for pinatas. A bunch of guys also broke into the beads to make necklaces and bracelets for themselves and their little sisters back home. Richard taught us how to play Cricket, while Brian introduced some of us to kayaking. Until it started to thunder and rain.. so out of the water we came and straight into Apres for some chilling out.
After dins Caveman went over what we need to take with us for our Grand Decent, which is our overnight trip on the river [we are leaving tomorrow morning]. We were issued water=proof barrels with our canoe-buddies for our sleeping bags and dry clothes. No pillows or pajamas allowed!
So stay tuned, we will be back with unforgettable stories from the river Friday morning!
