Summer Camp Ardèche, France
Friday I'm in Love
Today the French Group visited the Cite des Papes aka Avignon. We toured the Pont Saint-Benezet which was built between 1171 and 1185. Avignon was quite busy with tourists as it is the first day of their famed bohemian Festival Off which focuses on lesser known theatrical plays and street performances. We also caught Les Virtuoses De L'Etrange at Le Palace before heading back to camp for dins.
The other half of us went on a all day tough-but-fun mountain bike loop past vistas of wild gorges, geometric vineyards and rolling hills. We ate our bagged lunches and swam in a revitalizing creek to beat the heat. We then biked back into Salavas for a refreshing dose of ice cream!
