Summer Camp Ardèche, France

9th July 2010

The final hour

It is hard to believe, but sadly yes, the final day for session one Summer Camp has arrived. Campers enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere throughout the day, taking it easy after a very busy 2 weeks.

The morning consisted of an all in Arts and Crafts session for Activity Groups 1 and 2, where creative energy was challenged after so much physicality. Guitars were played, masks were made, sketches were drawn, and wood was carved. Meanwhile the group Les Francais completed their final lesson with Pauline, playing a life size board game, answering questions in French, alongside the beautiful Ardeche River.

The afternoon rolled around after a long lunch in the warm, warm day, and campers were treated to a quick game before heading to their tents to start packing. An afternoon swim and trip to the neighbouring ice cream stall cooled the afternoon air.

The day rounded off with yet another delicious dinner, and an amazing cake for IgorHappy 13th Birthday Igor! This was followed by a slideshow of photographs of the 2 weeks past, social time and the certificate presentation, before showers and bed.

We all cannot believe how quickly the time has passed! Many friendships have been formed, and even more memories made. Summer Camp experiences often stay with an individual for a lifetime, and we hope that all campers leave the Ardeche with tired, yet happy smiles.
