This award-winning programme is led by Programme Director, David Allen, assisted by a team of experienced staff plus an international selection of renowned guest speakers, specially flown in to engage with our young leadership campers. Our speakers typically fly in from the USA, South Africa and the UK. These thought-provoking presentations lead to lively discussion sessions amongst the young campers, which are interspersed with outdoor action-packed physical challenges and tasks. It adds up to an exciting new experience every day!

Rafting and canyoning - an exhilarating experienceA competitive series of challenges that demand skills, application and multi-tasking whilst operating to a strict financial budget.
Everyone takes part in the Village Camps T.A.L.E – The Amazing Leadership Experience. The programme is designed around competitive contests with camper teams given places to find, sites to visit, items to collect and missions to accomplish. Teams are limited to the constraints of a limited financial budget, which promotes the understanding of the R.O.I. principle (Return on Investment), one which guides corporate investment in today’s world.

He runs his own innovative Leadership Camp in KwaZulu, South Africa and is an in-demand lecturer to corporate companies, schools and Universities, as well as an expert, specialist security consultant to tactical police forces and detective units worldwide.
David has directed the Village Camps Leadership Training programme in England and Switzerland for many years. Thanks to his interactive approach, David captivates our young leadership campers, ensuring that every participant is actively involved in his presentations.
David is the author of a book - Leadership In The Trees - that aims to give students the tools to maximise their leadership potential and thus become better leaders in all aspects of their lives.

Kerry Max Cook (USA) - Kerry is an extraordinary man with an extraordinary story. His presentation is riveting as he goes through his life explaining how someone else’s mistake and a travesty of justice cost him over 20 years of his life in prison for no reason. Kerry’s story is to be made into a film.
Alfred Eden (South Africa) - Alfred is from Estcourt, South Africa where he is the director of Greystone Camp & Adventure Centre. He is also co- director and founder of Challenge Tours which runs exceptional Leadership courses for school and corporate groups. He gives a fascinating presentation.
Claire Young (UK) - From ‘The Apprentice’ boardroom to award winning entrepreneur! She is a straight talking, no-nonsense business woman. Lord Sugar dubbed her a 'Rottweiler' for her tenacious approach and mind-set of never giving up! She hopes that her story will motivate others to realise that with hard work, drive and determination anything is possible.

Campers stay at the Village Camps owned and managed Swiss Alpine Centre. The centre has spacious, mainly en-suite bedrooms for 3-4 campers as well as lounges and recreational areas and impressive dining facilities. The campus is well situated just above the main village and close to its excellent sport and leisure facilities.
There is a variety of afternoon and evening activities both in Camp and outdoors, which campers from all programmes participate together. These all camp activities are organised and supervised by Village Camp counsellors.
