Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
VC Austria Feiernacht!!!
Well it is the final day of camp before departures but before we go we have an amazing day lined up! Starting with a visit to the Piesendorf Feuerwehr by the language classes, a surprise film festival in film camp and an ultimate adventure challenge involving low ropes and team competitions in Adventure camp.
In the afternoon we received our certificates and awards and watched a camp video with lots of action from the last 2 weeks as well as a video made by the language camp. After we awarded our King and Queen of clean (for the tidiest rooms) we got to vote for our Prom Princes and Princesses!
Then it was time for the Prom to begin! We all assembled in the dining hall and were surprised by special guests as a group of Austrian musicians came to entertain us with traditional music and dance. There were Alpen horns, bells, benches, hats and lots of music and leather pants. We ended up all dancing together in the dining hall before settling in for some well earned BBQ!
After dinner it was disco time. Everyone was dressed up in their nicest clothes and DJ Juan took all of our requests as we danced the night away, took photos in the VC photo booth and awarded our Prom Royalty.
It was such a great session nobody wanted to go to bed but after some tearful goodbyes we all went upstairs to rest up for a big day of travel on Saturday.
- Breakfast: Cereal with farm fresh milk. Granola, Yogurt, Banana Bread, Toast, Cheese, Preserves, Fruit, Nuts and Orange Juice
- Lunch: Rigitoni pasta with turkey, tomato creme sauce. Fresh salad, coleslaw and Raspberry Yogurt for desert.
- Dinner: Barbecue with grilled chicken breast, steak, cheese, turkey frankfurters, fresh salads, roasted potatoes and vegetables and tiramisu and brownies for desert.
