International Night: A Journey Around the World
Today was a very exciting day for Village Camps. It started out as usual with campers heading to their normal morning activities. Mountain & Lake Adventure yellows traversed the low ropes course then went to play a game of Mini Golf. The reds and blues faced a Survival challenge and shot arrows for archery.
The afternoon was when the excitement started to build. Our campers met with their groups to start preparations for INTERNATIONAL NIGHT!! The groups were: Arab Nations, Western Europe + The Mediterranean, Eastern Europe + Balkans, Scandinavia, The Americas, Central Europe, and African Nations. They worked together for several hours to prepare a presentation, dance, skit, and/or songs to represent their nations.
In addition to preparing a presentation, each nation had a food dish prepared for us to eat at dinner to taste what a typical food from their country is like, so delicious!! After dinner was the big show! Each group did a wonderful job of representing their countries and we had lots of fun!!
- Breakfast: Cereals, Muesli, Yogurt, Fruits, Vegetables, Cheese, Cold Cuts, Jams, Coffee and Tea
- Lunch: Chili con Carne, Chili with Vegetables, Rice, Salad Bar, Chocolate Mousse
