A programme designed to enable campers to create, rehearse and finally perform at the end-of-camp show in front of a ‘live’ audience. Our popular, experienced and highly qualified Dance Director and her team deliver an outstanding dance experience, exploring many different types and styles of the dance repertoire.
The programme runs for 3 hours every weekday morning. From the very start the specialist dance teachers and the young dancers collaborate together to jointly develop their routines, choose the music, frame the choreography and then rehearse enthusiastically in the build up to the last-night show. They also help design and make their own stage costumes and create the stage-sets.
Different types of dances are incorporated into the performances, which take into account the skills and experience of the dancers as well as the different cultures of this group - who come from all over the world. Whether you are a trained dancer or just like to ‘move to the music’, this dance programme will have something special for you. Our professional and talented dance team works individually with each camper to give them complete confidence, improved skills and an expanded dance repertoire.
Each end-of session show is a complete ‘one-off’ with the campers’ individual ideas, music, moves and dances creating a new and impressive performance where the dancers will be spurred on by excited applause from the audience – the entire camp!
After camp, all dance participants receive a link on the Village Camps Google Drive giving access to the end-of-camp show.
