Camp Dates & Prices

Programme Overview

The programme runs for 3 hours every weekday morning. Our highly qualified Dance Director and her team deliver an outstanding dance experience, exploring many different types and styles of the dance repertoire.

From the very start the specialist dance teachers and the young dancers collaborate together to jointly develop the final performance, including:

Summer Camp choosing their routines
Summer Camp choosing the music
Summer Camp frame the choreography
Summer Camp design and make their own stage costumes
Summer Camp create the stage-sets
Summer Camp rehearse enthusiastically

Different types of dances are incorporated into the performances, which take into account the skills and experience of the dancers as well as the different cultures of this group - who come from all over the world.

Our professional and talented dance team works individually with each camper to give them complete confidence, improved skills and an expanded dance repertoire.

Each end-of session show is a complete ‘one-off’ with the campers’ individual ideas, music, moves and dances creating a new and impressive performance where the dancers will be spurred on by excited applause from the audience – the entire camp! After camp, all dance participants receive a link on the Village Camps Google Drive giving access to the end-of-camp show.

Accommodation, Excursions & Activities

Campers stay at the Village Camps owned and managed Swiss Alpine Centre. The centre has spacious, mainly en-suite bedrooms for 3-4 campers as well as lounges and recreational areas and impressive dining facilities. The campus is well situated just above the main village and close to its excellent sport and leisure facilities.

There are exciting excursions to Geneva, the lakeside town of Lausanne, a chocolate factory and the Water-Park in nearby Aigle.

There is a variety of afternoon and evening activities both in Camp and outdoors, which campers from all programmes participate together. These all camp activities are organised and supervised by Village Camp counsellors.

Further details on the excursions and on the activities available at the Leysin camp can be found on the Switzerland Overview Page.
