A Day Filled with Fun, Sports, and Entertainment

The day began with a scrumptious breakfast that left everyone full, energised and ready for the adventures ahead. Following breakfast, the campers showcased their camping skills in a full-fledged football match. Divided into counsellor groups, the teams competed against each other, displaying impressive teamwork, agility, and sportsmanship.

After a satisfying lunch, the campers embarked on a short walk to a Leysin gymnasium to engage in a variety of physical activity games led by Dominic, a Physical Education Teacher from Australia. The activities included a version of "the floor is lava," which encouraged teamwork and problem-solving, as well as games like "3's a crowd," "hug a buddy," "doctor, doctor," open dodgeball, and classic dodgeball. These games fostered camaraderie, promoted fitness, and brought about infectious laughter among the campers.

Returning on time from the afternoon activities, the campers were granted a well-deserved period of free time in the charming Leysin village. They eagerly ventured out, exploring the local shops, interacting with the friendly locals, and immersing themselves in the area's unique culture. The village offered a perfect blend of natural beauty and authentic Swiss charm, providing the campers with a memorable experience during their final free time.

As the day drew to a close, the campers gathered in the foyer for an evening of entertainment. The night's highlight was a screening of the epic movie "Gladiator," starring Russell Crowe. The campers settled comfortably, captivated by the gripping storyline and the stunning visuals, making it a truly immersive cinematic experience for all.

The Village Camps in Leysin 2023 continued to exceed expectations, offering campers a day filled with delicious meals, exhilarating sports activities, leisurely exploration of the village, and an enthralling movie night. These memorable experiences provided ample opportunities for personal growth, forging new friendships, and creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
