Summer Camp England
Let's make some memories
After waking up to clear, sunny skies, all the programs spent their morning working at their full potential as the session nears to the end. Whether on the pitch, the stage or in the classroom, the campus is buzzing with activity and every single camper is busy and ready to go. It's no surprise either with Creative Arts finishing off their final projects, whilst English reflects on what they have learnt and their experiences this summer. The Horse Riding and Golf programs were busy as per usual, improving and evaluating their skills meanwhile Activity & Adventure were only just returning, tired but satisfied, from their overnight campout. It was time for our football team to be training hard for their big match on Friday as Performing Arts also prepared for their show.
The afternoon was spent in various afternoon activities, such as cooking, tennis and swimming. In our second-to-last all-camp meeting, campers ran our Kangaroo Court, punishing only counsellors and even our camp director for the fact that everyone always cries when the end of camp comes! He was showered with a symbolic bucket of our tears to come.
After dinner, each house enjoyed each others' company one final time before our disco tomorrow night. Yellows spent the evening in the kitchen, baking and decorating cakes - and, of course, eating it all afterwards - while Reds hung out in the Muggles game arcade and Blues were treated to a pool party. For the first time this session, Yellows were the last to bed as they had an extra treat after all of the evening activities were over. Indeed, as a prize for having won the English-speaking contest, they spent an hour in Muggles with more food and fun activities provided.
Finally, with already a few tears shed, the last normal day of camp came to a close. Tomorrow will be a busy day, filled with performances, games, packing and a long, memory-filled night. It certainly promises to be an exciting and memorable day!
