Summer Camp England
Home, Sweet Home.
Now that all campers feel at home here at Village Camps York, the schedule runs like clockwork and the days are flying by. Every morning, campers break off into their separate programs and continuously improve their skills through games and challenges, be it in English, Football, Creative Arts, Golf, Horse Riding and so on. During the two weeks, all the campers will be lucky enough to go on various excursions as demonstrated by Activity & Adventure, who tested their bravery and rock climbing skills at the X-scape centre, and Performing Arts, who got to take a private backstage tour of the York theatre, giving them a glimpse of what their multitude of talent could lead to!
After lunch, campers joined different afternoon activities for their afternoon sessions, such as swimming, zumba and benchball. In the evening, campers joined their colour groups for some more bonding and fun. The Yellow House had a pool party, the Red House played Super Dodgeball and the Blue House enjoyed a relaxing night in the "Muggles" activity centre.
With so many activities and the constant flow of things to do and places to be, campers and counsellors alike appreciate the value of a relaxing evening and a good night of sleep. Nonetheless, the energy is still soaring as new friendships solidify and our Session Three group turns into a family!
