Programme Staff - Deutsch Lehrer- German Teacher/Activity Counsellor

The German Language Teacher teaches beginners to advanced level German for several periods during designated times in the day. A variety of backgrounds are represented and children vary in age and ability in the classroom. The Teacher is required to submit long-range plans, plan daily lessons and monitor students' progress using effective techniques. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing, orienteering, arts and crafts, drama, dance, sailing, swimming, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicant must be a native speaker of German, and have teaching experience of a minimum 6 months.

The Adventure counsellors lead activities such as windsurfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, rock climbing Muntain Biking and hiking. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as orienteering, basketball, arts and crafts, soccer and tennis. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties. Due to male to female staff ratio, we can now only accept applications from male applicants.

Applicant MUST have have experience teaching outdoor Adventure activities, water sports and climbing to children/ teens from 10- 17 years. Please note that a 1st aid certification and criminal background check certification are mandatory requirements for this role.

The Film Camp Counsellor (under the supervision of the Film Camp Coordinator) organises and supervises up to 10 campers involved in the film-making programme at our international, residential camp in Zell am See, Austria. Applicant must be trained and experienced in digital video filming, editing and production and have experience in working with children in an residential and/or international environment. Duties and responsibilities include designing a fun, educational programme for 10 to 17 year olds, leading the film-making programme for 3 hours daily, reviewing programme resources to implement new ideas and develop the film programme and discussing programme requirements and budgets with the camp director. Other duties include leading a wide range of sporting, creative and outdoor activities such as trekking, swimming, orienteering, arts and crafts, drama, dance, horse riding, tennis, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Good communication skills in English is required and knowledge of a second language is an asset.

Applicant must have extensive experience in sports coaching and working with young people aged 10-17 years. Due to male-female staff ratio, this position is only open to male applicants. A basic first aid certification and valid criminal background check are mandatory requirements for this position.

The Film Camp Leader is responsible for preparing and executing a fun and educational film making camp programme for International campers from 10- 17 years. Our Film Making Camp takes place at our International summer residential camp in Zell am See, Austria. Applicants must be trained and experienced in digital video filming, editing and production and have experience working with children in a residential camp environment. Duties include: - Designing a fun Film-Making Programme. - Leading the programme for 3 hours daily. - Reviewing programme resources to implement new ideas and to develop the Film- Making Programme. - Discussing programme requirements and budgets with the Camp Director. Other duties include: - Assisting in a wide range of sports and creative activities during the hours when the Film- making Camp is not taking place. - Assisting in camper wake-up and lights- out duties. - Accompanying the campers on excursions and assisting during camper arrival and departure days.

Applicants must speak very good English, have extensive Film-making, prodiction and editing experience (Ideally a degree in Film making and media) and have experience working with children and teens. from 10- 17 years. Applicants must be available from 28th June- 2nd August 2020
