Programme Staff - Deutsch Lehrer- German Teacher/Activity Counsellor

The German Language Teacher teaches beginners to advanced level German for several periods during designated times in the day. A variety of backgrounds are represented and children vary in age and ability in the classroom. The Teacher is required to submit long-range plans, plan daily lessons and monitor students' progress using effective techniques. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing, orienteering, arts and crafts, drama, dance, sailing, swimming, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicant must be qualified to teach German from beginner to advanced levels (A1-C1) and have teaching experience of a minimum 6 months. Please note that a basic first aid certificate, a criminal background certificate and a covid-19 vaccination certification are mandatory requirements for this role.

Applicant MUST have have experience teaching outdoor Adventure activities, water sports and climbing to children/ teens from 10- 17 years. The Photographer/Technical Support takes digital photos and records videos of all the aspects of Camp life on a daily basis and makes sure the network and internet connections are operational. The Photographer reports to and gets direct instructions from, the Village Camp Web & Network Support Team at the Head office in Nyon, Switzerland. The daily tasks also include grouping all the captured photos and videos labelled by activities, location and colour group or programme; sending all the material in it's original un-cropped, un-resized form for the publication in the Camp Journals; gathering all available photos and videos from Campers and Staff members and send them on a regular basis; gathering and sending all the daily Camp News and Editorials from the staff members and Camp Director. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicant must have experience in photography and video editing and experience working in a residential camp environment. Please note that a basic first aid certification, criminal check certification and covid- 19 vaccination certification are mandatory requirements for this role.
