Adventure Counsellor/ Climbing Counsellor

The Adventure Counsellor/ Climbing Counsellor will lead the climbing wall activity sessions, and assist in various mountain adventure activities such as hiking, basic survival skills, bushcraft, and watersports . Other duties involve assisting in creative and sport activities such as basketball, arts and crafts, soccer and tennis. Additional responsibilities include supervising during mealtimes and excursions, participating in evening programmes, and wake-up/lights-out duties. Staff receive the equivalent of 2 days off per 2-week period.

Essential: -Applicants must have experience, leading climbing wall sessions and adventure activities to children/ teens from 10- 17 years. -Applicants must be available to work the full duration of the camp programme, including the staff training. ( 23rd June- 28th July 2024 ). Please note that a basic 1st aid certification, and criminal background check certification are mandatory requirements for this role.

Programme Staff - TEFL Teacher/Activity Counsellor

The TEFL Teacher teaches beginners to advanced level English for several periods during designated times in the day. A variety of backgrounds are represented and children vary in age and ability in the classroom. Teacher is required to submit long-range plans, plan daily lessons and monitor students' progress using effective techniques. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing, orienteering, arts and crafts, drama, dance, sailing, swimming, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Essential: - Applicants must hold a relevant teaching qualification (TEFL, CELTA or equivalent) to teach English as a foreign language and have at least 6 months classroom teaching. Please note that a basic first aid certificate and a criminal background certification are mandatory requirements for this role.

Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Essential: Applicants must be available to work the full summer season (23rd June - 28th July 2024). - Applicants must hold a valid lifeguard certification and have experience working with children/ teens from 10- 17 years. A criminal background check is a mandatory requirement for this position.

The Adventure Counsellor will work with campers aged 10- 17 . Applicants will be required to assist and lead in various outdoor adventure activities such as hiking, high ropes courses, kayaking, cycling, paddleboarding, and team sports. Staff members will also be required to assist in weekend excursions and wake- up and lights out duties.

Applicants must be sporty, enjoy mountain adventure activities and have experience working with children. Applicants must be available to work the full summer season from 23rd June- 28th July 2024. Applicants must also be in possession of a basic first aid certificate. As we are working with children, a criminal background certification is a mandatory requirement.
