Programme Staff - Deutsch Lehrer- German Teacher/Activity Counsellor

The German Language Teacher teaches beginners to advanced level German for several periods during designated times in the day. A variety of backgrounds are represented and children vary in age and ability in the classroom. The Teacher is required to submit long-range plans, plan daily lessons and monitor students' progress using effective techniques. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing, orienteering, arts and crafts, drama, dance, sailing, swimming, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.
Applicant must be a native speaker of German, and have teaching experience of a minimum 6 months.

The Adventure counsellors lead activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, rock climbing Mountain Biking and hiking. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as orienteering, basketball, arts and crafts, soccer and tennis. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.
Applicant MUST have have experience teaching outdoor Adventure activities, water sports and climbing to children/ teens from 10- 17 years. Please note that a 1st aid certification and criminal background check certification are mandatory requirements for this role.

The Activity Counsellor/ Adventure and Sports Specialist leads multi sport sessions to campers of beginner to advanced level abilities. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, swimming, mountain biking, orienteering, windsurfing, kayaking, arts and crafts, drama, dance, sailing and soccer. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.
Applicant must have extensive experience in sports coaching and working with young people aged 10-17 years.
Due to male-female staff ratio, this position is only open to male applicants.
A basic first aid certification and valid criminal background check are mandatory requirements for this position.
