Summer Camp LTC, Leysin
Day 1 at camp: Bonds form through High Rope and Dodgeball Adventures!
The long-awaited first day of camp has finally arrived, and it kicked off with a delicious and energizing breakfast, setting the tone for a day filled with fun and activities.
Each weekday morning, we have a guest speaker who addresses different topics related to our main theme: leadership. Today, our program director, David Allen, began the day by sharing insights and practical tips on what it means to be a leader.
Following a satisfying lunch, we all made our way to the High Ropes course, a quick 30-minute cog train ride away from the camp. After gearing up and receiving safety instructions, we ventured onto the course. Everyone started with the basic routes, the yellow and green ones, to get accustomed to the experience. Once that was done, campers had the freedom to choose their preferred routes, with options like the blue, the red (the highest route), the black (shortest but most challenging), and a thrilling long zip-line.
After dinner, it was time for our evening program, which involved joining forces with the blue color group. We boarded the bus and headed to a nearby gym for an evening filled with exciting games, including 'hug a buddy,' '7', 'doctor, doctor,' ‘floor is lava’ and dodgeball. The night concluded with an epic dodgeball match between LTC and the Blue color group, where LTC emerged victorious!
