Summer Camp LTC, Leysin

19th July 2019

F for fun and Friday

Like during all mornings, we had a guest speaker: Steve Beckles-Ebusua, "the orange man". His topic was motivational speaking and body language, from more of a scientific point of view. For example, he talked about the chemicals in the brain and how those reactions affect us humans.

In the afternoon after lunch, the 34 campers were divided into two groups and we all headed to two different but both fun activities. One group went to the swimming pool in Aigle, so that they could relax and enjoy some time together. The other group went to Vileneuve for a "Laserquest": laser-tag time! This way they could have fun, experience something new and improve their teamwork. The two groups will switch during the following week so that everyone gets to experience both activities.

In the evening our campers started working on "Event X": they were divided into groups and they started planning an activity that we will all participate in next week, after we listen to the proposal and vote for one. They have a budget and a few other instructions but apart from that they had a lot of freedom of choice.
