Summer Camp England

Big Night!

The first Friday in each session is an unforgettable day for all of us here at VC York. All of our morning programs followed their usual schedule. Afternoon was full of diverse sign up activities . The rest of the afternoon was dedicated to the final preparation of the Biiiiiiiig Niiiiiiiight!

Big Night, if you wonder what it is, is one of our best all camp evening activity. It is the Olympics of the Camp with an atmosphere that you can only find at VC York. The camp is divided into 6 teams of different colours and each one representing a famous film. We had the Yellow Lord of the rings, Red Narnia, Green hunger games, White Harry potters, Black avatars and Bluetwilights. The theme and the colour was be the inspiration for chant, entrance and a mascot presenting the team at the Village Camps Olympics. All of the age groups were represented in every colour team. All teams gave out lots of energy, effort and enthusiasm to make their team stand out.

After all the opening parade, chants and presentation of the team mascots it was time for number of relay races. Teams competed against each other's and the atmosphere was filled with loud chanting, cheering and celebrations. It was very difficult for the judges to decide which team had the best maskot. But at the end there was just one team winning the amazing pizza party. Congratulations to the BLACK team who managed to win this wonderful night.

Tonight Village Camps has seen a lots of really great team spirit. That is why we at Village Camps love Big Night so much. Each camper was involved and gave his best for his team. A wonderful way to celebrate the first half of the session one!
