Summer Camp England

30th June 2015

A busy Tuesday!!

Today was the second at village camps! The kids are as happy as ever, they are all enjoying their morning programs after breakfast.

Activity and Adventure started their day with a fun activity: Rock Climbing! This Secure, fun and challenging activity describes the many offsite trips of our Adventurers. Beginners and more experienced climbers were climbing side by side while supporting and cheering for each other. One of their many first real adventure!

The Leadership program also went offsite and had a wonderful time at Camp Hill learning about the importance of cooperation, communication and awareness of others through a number of team challenges. There is nothing like the outdoor environment to explore and understand the power of team work!

At the same time the rest of our 9 programs followed their usual schedule filled with fun learning activities and led by experienced program leaders and enthusiastic counsellors. Horse riders and golfers left earlier as usual and had an amazing morning with this beautiful and sunny day we had. Basketball, Football, Creative Arts, Performing Arts and English started to work within their programs. We are looking forward to seeing the improvements in our campers as well as the master pieces of our Creative Arts' campers and final show Performing Artists! The campers here at Village camps York never stop having fun. The afternoon was full of excitement as we have something for everyone here at VC York. Today the afternoon activities included tennis, football, basketball, benchball, Volleyball, baking, playground, painting, sculpting and ultimate Frisbee.

After dinner and a bit of free time it was time for one of the greatest nights here at VC York: CARNIVAL NIGHT! Bouncy Castles, Inflatable Sumo Suits and variety of fun carnival stands such as fortune tellers or Card Ninja to mention a few. What a great way to finish off the day! In order to win points for their teams the campers had to visit as many carnival stands as possible. It was fun, it was exciting, what Village camps is all about!

Ben, yellow boy wouldn't stop thanking the counsellors for this amazing night!
