Summer Camp England

15th July 2014

Great weather, great campers, great day!

Now that everybody knows how the camp operates, we can get down to business! The morning programs, Golf and Horse Riding left before the others to enjoy their facilities outside of camp. Meanwhile, Creative Arts were working on their two projects, making a pinata and a mask. Performing Arts were rehearsing the show they will present to us at the end of the session. Activity and Adventure , who is divided into two groups this session due to the number of people attending this program, stayed on campus today and developed their survival and environmental skills. The Yellows learnt how to reuse objects and give them a new sense, they made a bird feeder from plastic bottles, while the Reds and the Blues were learning techniques needed to survive in a dangerous environment!

The afternoon was dedicated to the usual activities . This time the kids had the choice between Tennis, baking, Creative arts, Bracelet making, Zumba, Yoga, Basketball, Football, Frisbee, Volleyball, Baseball and Rugby . Each camper can do two of these activities, as you can see there is a choice for everyone!

The big event of the day was definitely the traditional first all camp evening, the Carnival Night! As the counsellors dressed up in an array of face paint costumes, our campers were treated to a night of hysterical fun! Everyone has to collect points in order to win a surprise party by participating in as many activities as possible. From fortune telling to marshmallow eating, water balloons to Zumba dancing, the Secret Garden was alive with fun and laughter! And the kids had also access to inflatables with sumo fights and a bouncing castle without any other purposes than having fun! It was a great night with lots of laughs and full of opportunities to make new friends.
