Summer Camp England

30th June 2013

Arrivals Day at Village Camps York

Welcome to Village Camps York 2013! It is with great excitement that we welcome 215 campers from around the world today. Our staff have been busy preparing the beautiful Queen Ethelburga Campus to make each and every child welcome and happy. We greeted many old friends (past campers) and already have made new friends, with so many big smiles and great attitudes.

I know it is very hard for some children to travel so far away from home to join us at camp, but you can rest easy knowing that our caring counsellors will do everything to make your children's first night an easy one. When our campers arrived today they participated in Arts & Crafts Activities, football games, mini golf, table tennis and Ice Breaker games.

2013 in York promises to be a very exciting Summer with a fantastically energetic and enthused staff who eagerly await the opportunity to start our programmes on Monday morning. Our aim is to provide our campers with the best summer experience ever, and we will not be resting until we achieve this. Bring on the Summer of 2013 Session One in York, England!!!

Two of our campers Lorenzo and Giovanna also had something to say about arrival day at Village Camps:

"Yesterday at VC we were arrived and we had lunch with our parents at half past twelve. Our favourite part is freetime we met some friends and we played basketball, it's so cool!!! The camp is fantastic, but there are only five Italian. We are meeting Antonio, he lives in Romania, but he speaks perfect english. He teachs our english and we teach him italian. He's so cool. And our second part we're sleeping."
