Rock Climbing Counsellors/Activiy Counsellor

The Rock Climbing counsellors / Activity Counsellors lead climbing sessions for 7- 17 year olds. They're required to teach appropriate climbing techniques and introduce the campers to climbing equipment and demonstrate its proper use. The climbing activity takes place on natural rock crags and indoor/ outdoor climbing walls. Other counsellor duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, swimming, mountain biking, orienteering, arts and crafts, archery, drama, dance, horse riding, tennis, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and weekend excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicants must have extensive experience in rock climbing and indoor/ outdoor wall climbing. A basic first aid certification and a criminal background certification are mandatory requirements for this position.

The Adventure Activity Counsellors work with international campers from the age of 10- 17 years. The Adventure and Activity Counsellors will be required to lead and assist in various Outdoor Adventure sessions such as hiking, mountain biking, orienteering, climbing, high ropes courses, outdoor survival skills, bushcraft and team sports. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and weekend excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicants must have experience in adventure activities and sports and experience working with children or teenagers. A criminal background check and a basic first aid certification are mandatory requirements for this role.

The Camp Receptionists greet all visitors entering the building, answers telephone enquiries in an appropriate manner, maintains a log book of all messages received and distributes accurate messages to staff members, distributes incoming mail and delivers out-going mail to post office daily, and provides administrative support to the Business Manager. Participation in all other aspects of camp life is expected.

Applicant must have experience in office administration and Microsoft Excel and Word. An intermediate level of spoken French or Italian is an advantage. A criminal background check and basic first aid certification are mandatory requirements for this position.

When the French lessons are not taking place, other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, swimming, orienteering, arts and crafts, archery, drama, dance, horse riding, tennis, football and basketball.
