Programme Staff - Rock Climbing Specialist/Activity Counsellor

Rock Climbing Specialist leads climbing sessions and instructs techniques, introduces campers to equipment and demonstrates its proper use, and enables some to practice both climbing and belaying under supervision depending on the age of campers. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, swimming, mountain biking, orienteering, arts and crafts, archery, drama, dance, horse riding, tennis, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicant must have qualifications such as the Single Pitch Award and/or extensive experience in teaching rock climbing. A first aid-CPR certification and a criminal background certification are mandatory requirements for this position.

Facilities Staff - Night Patrol

Night Patrol personnel are responsible for patrolling and monitoring the building and facilities once the children are in their rooms for the night. This is a job for someone who would like to work at night, leaving their days free to enjoy the Swiss Alps. Within a two week session, Night Patrol personnel will work 12 shifts beginning at 23.00 hours and finishing at 07.00 hours. There will be 2 nights off each two week session. They will be be responsible for the security and safety of the building and facilities as well as making sure the campers are safely in their rooms.

Applicant must have relevant work experience, experience working with children and preferably be able to speak a foreign language.

French Teacher teaches beginners to advanced level French for several periods during designated times in the day. A variety of backgrounds will be represented and children vary in age and ability in the classroom. Teacher is required to submit long-range plans, plan daily lessons and monitor students' progress using effective techniques. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, swimming, rock climbing, mountain biking, orienteering, arts and crafts, archery, drama, dance, horse riding, tennis, football and basketball. Candidate MUST have Leadership Training experience and experience working with teenagers. Knowledge of another language other than English is an asset.
