Swimming Specialist leads swimming sessions and instructs techniques to campers of beginners to advanced level abilities. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as mountain biking, orienteering, arts and crafts, archery, drama, dance, tennis, football, lacrosse, cricket and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicant must have experience working with children. A current lifeguard certificate is required.

We are looking to hire a Horse riding Activity counsellor who is experienced around Horses and will supervise our campers during the Horse riding activity. The responsibilities are: - making sure the children are prepared on time for the activity - Helping the beginner horse riders feel comfortable around the horses - supervising the children during the care and grooming of the horses, - Helping the children mount the horses - making sure all the children wear safety helmets - helping the children dismount the horses. The horse riding lessons are taught by an independent horse riding Company in York. The main responsibility for the Horse riding activity counsellor will be supervising the children during the preparation of the horse prior to the lessons. The horse riding activity takes place from Monday- Friday for 3 hours every morning. Afternoon and evening duties involve assisting in creative,outdoor and sporting activities such as swimming,orienteering, arts and crafts, archery, drama, dance, cookery, football, lacrosse, cricket and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicant must have personal experience in horse riding. Please be aware that a 1st Aid certification and a criminal record background check are mandatory requirements for this position.

The receptionist/ Administrative Assistant greets all visitors entering the building, follows sign in and out procedures depending on age of campers, answers telephone enquiries in an appropriate manner, maintains a log book of all messages received and distributes accurate messages to individuals, calls parents to discuss the progress of their child as required by the camp director, distributes incoming mail and delivers out-going mail to post office daily, and ensures that copies of camp lists and activity information are maintained and updated at all times. Participation in all aspects of camp life is expected.

Applicant must have experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of a second language such as French or Italian is an advantage. Please note that a criminal background certification is mandatory for this position
