Summer Camp LTC, Leysin
Sports day
This morning, we divided our campers into 4 groups and had a football tournament.
Our activity counselor John taught the campers how to work together and they played very well. We had a final match, and team Aspirin won!
Then, we got everyone on the field for a full-field match. As a treat they've got Swiss chocolates!
In the afternoon, the whole group lead us on a hike up to an Alpine cheese making restaurant.
3 people were given a map and had the task to lead the whole team safely for the whole duration of the hike. 3 other people were in charge of keeping team spirits high and helping anyone who was struggling to make it to the top.
They worked extremely well together and in the end everyone really enjoyed the experience. Sing along, mountains, ice-creams and great conversations filled the sunny afternoon.
We finished our long day with a movie night and watched Eddie the Eagle.
The story was about an unlikely, but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself - even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach, Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.
