Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Wednesday Camp Journal
Another exciting day is underway at Village Camps, with every group embracing new challenges, building friendships, and making the most of every opportunity to learn through adventure. LTCS spent the morning exploring the forest, discovering the natural world through hands-on activities and teamwork. This afternoon, the excitement ramps up with Laser Quest, where communication and strategy take centre stage before everyone heads to Prafandaz to round off the day with more mountain fun. Blues have enjoyed a morning tailored to their interests, choosing between Sports, Lab Explorers, or French Language. This afternoon, creativity takes over as they prepare their skits for International Night, working together to create performances that celebrate different cultures. The day finishes with a well-earned Movie Night, giving everyone a chance to relax together. Reds have started the day by pushing themselves with either Mountain Biking or Climbing, building confidence, resilience, and determination. Later, they will continue rehearsing for International Night before putting their detective skills to the test during an evening Murder Mystery, where teamwork and sharp thinking will be the key to solving the case. Yellow Boys return today from their mountain hut adventure, bringing back stories, memories, and a real sense of accomplishment after their time in the mountains. Meanwhile, the Yellow Girls have spent the morning taking on the High Ropes, encouraging one another as they reached new heights. This afternoon, all Yellow campers come together for either skit preparation or a United Nations session in the forest, celebrating the diversity of our international camp community. Their day ends with a visit to the Petting Zoo, where they'll enjoy spending time with some friendly animals. Greens are also returning from their mountain hut adventure, no doubt with plenty of tales to share after their overnight experience. This afternoon they head to Mini Golf, where friendly competition and plenty of laughter are guaranteed, before joining the Yellows at the Petting Zoo to finish the day together. Every day at Village Camps is designed to encourage campers to step outside their comfort zones, discover new interests, and support one another along the way. Whether climbing a wall, performing, exploring the forest, or simply sharing a laugh with new friends, today is another reminder that the greatest adventures are often the ones we experience together.
